J. will describe the progress Minnesota has made in our clean energy transition. Our state is now a national leader in wind and solar energy, and is now piloting long-term batteries for storing solar energy for a very reliable energy future.

J. Drake Hamilton ( “J.”), is the Managing Director, Science Policy at the 33-year-old Minnesota nonprofit Fresh Energy. Hamilton develops climate solutions that maximize economic opportunities. Governor Walz appointed J. to his Advisory Council of Climate Change. Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine named her “one of Minnesota’s 100 influential people who make things happen.”
